These kits are a direct bolt on replacement for the factory torsion style boot springs. They are designed to fit VK and VL commodores with no major modifications, however they will not fit VB-VH commodores that have factory or aftermarket retractable seat belts fitted which are mounted to the parcel tray. some modifications may be required in order to fit to these models.
The factory springs are a common issue with first gen commodores especially when adding a spoiler or any extra weight.
This kit removes the original springs all together and replaces them with genuine Monroe gas struts.
Using a dampened strut gives a degree of motion control which will slowly release the boot, unlike the factory springs.
Laser cut from 3mm and 5mm mild steel with a satin black finish.
Two different height settings to select how far you want your boot lid to open.
Kit includes:
x2 main brackets
X2 small brackets

Note this kit requires the removal of the factory boot lid light switch.
